About the manufacturer

Back in the 70s, when I was still a boy choosing my future profession, in the days of totalitarianism and tramp guitars, when everyone around me was scrubbing Ryvolovky up and down, and I also looked up to them reverently, when I met one of the guitar makers from Cremona, my choice was clear – I wanted to be a luthiers.

Of course, my then class teacher Adámková did not exactly share this wishful thinking and flatly rejected it, stating that the town of Luby is not part of our socialist district, and that’s the end of the discussion. And so I put up with it, like many other “sheep” living in deep communism, I put my head down and preferred to try it more as a guitarist. However, the original idea later kept me awake and the older I get, the worse it gets…so many years later, I made my first flat guitar – a copy of a stratocaster – literally on my knee. From here it was just a step to the first acoustic, whose sound I consider to this day, and with respect to other musical instruments, to be truly divine. If the guitar comes out good and the player feels on his chest not only the vibrations of the back plate, but also the resonance of the neck, then I am not at all surprised that the guitar is the best-selling and most popular of all instruments.

As a self-taught sometime around 2018, after a deep study of the construction of guitars and with great help of a YouTuber, I started learning my own craft from scratch by trial and error. The truth and quite an important factor is that I don’t make a living out of making guitars, so I only work when I have to, which is a huge advantage compared to the factory mass production, which is forced to churn out dozens of guitars a day at an affordable price, they oversize the whole instrument so that it´s never returned and survived mainly the warranty period in good health. I only care about one thing and that is the sound. Of course, the appearance of the instrument is also important and necessary for the owner to like it and often to sell it, but not the most important thing. When I sometimes see the battered instruments of guitar masters, the top board scratched with a pick, I want to cry, even more so when I realize how beautiful it once was, but don’t worry, when you hear the instrument in action, you can’t help but admire it, although not beautiful in appereance , but in its sound.

I think and delve about body shapes, internal reinforcements, depth of lugs, construction possibilities, I look for other possibilities and try to follow news and trends in the field of development. Sometimes I try something new and I’m always looking for my own signature. I don’t want to be just another copycat guitars from Taylor, Martin, Ibanez and other factories.

I put not only my manual skill into my products, but especially inner well-being and naturalness, from which they are literally born and grow in the same way as instruments were created in small workshops and series of old masters, still appreciated for their charming sound colour.

Let’s talk about your dream instrument and I’ll try to recreate one for you.
